Submit your road infrastructure innovation ideas to the Infravation portal

New road infrastructure innovation forum now launched to capture innovations to be developed through Infravation and related programmes.

Take a look today at http://portal.infravation.net and add your idea for developing a road infrastructure innovation. This portal serves to capture a wide range of innovations that might be further developed through the Infravation programme (http://www.infravation.net) or related programmes. This is not a portal for research proposals. It is a portal for identifying the possible impact, benefits and time to delivery of innovations for road construction and maintenance as well as possible applications for other modes.

The Infravation Scoping team would like to hear about your new ideas for promising emerging technologies and innovations in the following topic areas, which are themselves sub-divided into many themes:

Infravation is an infrastructure innovation programme supported by 11 countries and the European Commission. It will issue calls for research projects based on the challenges faced by road owners. These projects will focus on ‘Advanced Systems, Materials and Techniques’ for road infrastructure. In preparation for this call, a scoping study is examining some of the innovations that might form the basis for the programme. For more information on the scoping study, contact Johan Jonsson (johan.jonsson@trafikverket.se), Secretary, and Finn Thøgersen (fit@vd.dk), Chair. For questions regarding the Infravation portal, contact Catherine Birkner (catherine.birkner@fehrl.org).
